Project overview

For our client, we are currently looking for an Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer with a focus on Power BI & Apache Airflow.

Requirements

• Experience with the project-specified ODE/ODE-S environment or comparable data integration and preparation environments.
• Experience in connecting source systems and APIs as well as in implementing and orchestrating data pipelines, especially with Apache Airflow.
• Very good SQL skills and experience in data integration.
• Experience in data modeling, data quality, and the implementation of business rules within multi-stage data processing and preparation architectures.
• Experience with business KPI modeling and the structured provision of KPI data for downstream analysis and reporting solutions.
• Experience in preparing data for semantic data models or Power BI datasets and in key figure modeling.
• German and English, spoken and written.
• Consulting skills: Professional and structured handling of the described data provisioning and modeling tasks is expected, as well as confident coordination at the relevant technical handover points between data integration, data preparation, and reporting. Specifications regarding work organization or organizational integration are excluded.

• Analytics/Data Engineering to prepare a Power BI dashboard with experience in the project-specified ODE/ODE-S environment or comparable data integration and preparation environments.
• Project Context:
• Provision and preparation of data as well as implementation of business KPI logic across multiple stages of data integration, data preparation, and data provisioning for use in Power BI.
• Service Description:
• The consulting service concerns the technical and business preparation of data provisioning for a Power BI dashboard. The focus is on connecting new data sources to the project-specified ODE-S environment, preparing and merging data, implementing business KPI logic, and providing the data structures required for Power BI.
• Service Content and Expected Work Results:
• Connecting new data sources: Connecting relevant source systems and APIs to the intended data integration environment as well as implementing the required data pipelines and orchestration, including with Apache Airflow.
• Data Preparation: Preparation and merging of data across the intended data processing and curated data layers, considering data modeling, data quality, and business rules.
• KPI Data: Implementation of business KPI logic and provision of structured KPI data for further use and analysis.
• Power BI Preparation: Preparation and provision of data for semantic data models or Power BI datasets, including key figure modeling.
