Application Support Engineer – Oracle / PL/SQL / Java

Responsibilities

What you bring

• You will share responsibility for the stable operation of our client's systems.
• You will use our monitoring tools to identify problems, actively address them, and liaise with our partners.
• You will discuss the robustness and performance of our core application with developers on an equal footing and also get hands-on yourself.
• You will analyze and resolve complex problems related to our core system.
• You will clean up data inconsistencies, perform migrations, and manage our clients' data.
• You will support functional and technical projects, assess their impact on existing systems, and oversee their introduction into operation.
• You have a degree in a field involving IT, or a comparable education, and several years of experience in the IT environment.
• Problems challenge you, and you think in terms of solutions, pragmatically and goal-oriented.
• You are passionate about stable operations and are comfortable in complex system landscapes with Oracle databases, Java applications, interfaces, and batch processes.
• You speak very good (PL/)SQL and German (min. C1) and are comfortable with Linux.
• With SQL, log analysis, and technical understanding, you can find errors even where there is no obvious error message.
• You think in terms of systems rather than individual applications and understand how data, interfaces, and processes interact.
• You care about our clients' problems and their data. You analyze errors holistically and solve them self-motivated and independently.
