Our approximately 1,000 employees are the first point of contact for all concerns regarding living, working, and life in Wetzlar. Our goal is to sustainably further develop the attractiveness of our city for all 55,000 inhabitants.

We are looking for two full-time employees for a fixed term until 03/31/2028 and 12/31/2028, to start as soon as possible:

Responsibilities

What distinguishes you:

• Your projects
• Construction of regional infrastructure: You will manage and coordinate demanding road, sewer, and water construction projects for the City of Wetzlar and the wastewater association. You will be responsible for project management, supervise the work on-site, and keep an eye on quality, deadlines, costs, and safety. Whether it's pavement renovation, sewer construction measures, or complete renewals
• you ensure that the projects are coordinated professionally and implemented sustainably.
• You act bindingly and manage professionally: You are responsible for tendering, construction supervision, billing, and acceptance of municipal construction measures. You will coordinate external service providers and construction companies, conduct negotiations confidently, technically control the execution, and ensure quality, deadlines, and safety on the construction site.
• In short: You hold the reins and drive Wetzlar's infrastructure projects forward.
• You have successfully managed civil engineering projects on the contractor side for several years and would like to use your experience meaningfully, regionally, and with less economic pressure in the coming professional years.
• You have good knowledge of construction and procurement law (VOB).
• Communication is important to us; you have fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• We are a team that needs a player who can implement projects independently and with personal responsibility.
• You need a driver's license class B to get to the construction sites.
