Consultant / Analyst PPWR & EPR (m/f/d) – Remote

Project overview

For a current consulting mandate, we are looking for experienced consultants/analysts (m/f/d) with sound practical expertise in PPWR and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

In the first step, the focus is on conducting structured impact and obligation assessments for medium-sized and large companies. Further consulting and implementation projects may arise from the results.

Responsibilities

You analyze whether and in what role a company is affected by PPWR and EPR requirements, for example as a manufacturer, importer, distributor, or fulfillment service provider, and derive the resulting obligations.

You also evaluate complex company and factual constellations and translate them into concrete, robust recommendations for action. These include, for example:

You document the results of the impact assessment clearly, comprehensibly, and with a focus on implementation, so that it becomes transparent for the respective company which regulatory obligations exist and which next steps are necessary.

In subsequent implementation projects, you will support companies in the operational implementation of PPWR and EPR requirements, including in the areas of:

• Group structures with multiple companies
• Import and placing on the market from third countries
• Transport, service, and industrial packaging
• Online retail and marketplace models
• Cross-border business models and obligations in several EU member states
• Registration and reporting obligations
• Data requirements and data structures
• Responsibilities and governance
• Processes and control mechanisms

Requirements

Sound technical knowledge of PPWR and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

Demonstrable practical experience that goes beyond purely regulatory or theoretical engagement with the topic

Experience in conducting impact or obligation assessments for medium-sized and large companies

Practical experience in implementing PPWR and/or EPR requirements in companies

Experience with both tool-supported and manual or process-based implementation approaches

Ability to classify complex individual cases from a regulatory perspective and derive comprehensible and robust conclusions from them

Perspectively, there is the possibility to take on further implementation and consulting projects arising from the initial impact assessments.

For the project, we are explicitly looking for experts who have already practically applied PPWR and EPR to specific company structures and business models and can reliably translate regulatory requirements into implementable measures.
