Job description
We are looking for a consultant to analyze and evaluate chemical compositions, develop risk classes, and advise on the implementation of an AI-supported system for risk assessment and safety measures.
Project overview
We are currently looking for a consultant for chemical risk assessment & industrial process safety.
Responsibilities
This experience do you already bring:
- Analysis and technical evaluation of different gas compositions regarding their chemical properties, hazard potentials, and possible contaminations
- Development and definition of risk classes based on the provided chemical compositions (& derivation of suitable protective measures)
- Technical further development and continuous maintenance of a database for the classification of gas compositions, hazards, and corresponding protective measures (Optional: advice on the standardization and optimization of existing decontamination processes for customer-specific machines and plants)
- Development of standardized assessment and decision criteria, taking into account relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Technical advice on the conception of an AI-supported system (e.g., AI agent or Microsoft Copilot) that analyzes chemical compositions and derives risk classes and suitable protective measures from them
- Technical collaboration with technical departments for the transfer of chemical assessments into standardized, traceable, and digitally usable processes
Requirements
- Completed studies in chemical engineering, chemical process engineering, or a comparable field
- Sound knowledge in the analysis and evaluation of chemical substances and gas compositions
- Experience in chemical hazard assessment and risk classification
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards
Nice to have
You can look forward to the following setup:
- Knowledge of handling hazardous substance databases and structuring chemical data
- Interest or initial experience in the use of AI-supported solutions
- Experience in the development of standardized assessment models and technical decision systems
- Utilization: 2-3 days a week
- Initial contract: 3 months
