We are looking for an experienced freelance accountant to support our international end client with German accounting (HGB) and daily operations. The role involves managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements, and reconciliations.
Project overview
For our international end client, we are looking for an experienced freelance accountant.
Your main task will be to support financial accounting with a focus on German accounting (HGB) and to participate in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Independent processing of current financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger)
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB
- Performing account reconciliations and clarifying open items
- Support with intercompany reconciliations
- Participation in the daily operations of financial accounting
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in an international corporate environment
- Sound knowledge of German accounting (HGB)
- IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with SAP FI/CO
- Very good Excel skills
- Fluent German language skills
- English skills are an advantage
