Chatbot Developer in Public Sector (m/f/d) Setup + Support

We are looking for a Chatbot Developer (m/f/d) for the following project for a client:

Responsibilities

• Conception, development, and implementation of an AI-powered chatbot for citizens in the public sector
• Analysis of the existing TYPO3-based homepage and planning of a suitable technical integration
• Setup, configuration, and complete population of the chatbot with relevant information and content
• Integration of external websites, APIs, and documents as knowledge sources for answering citizen inquiries
• Implementation of a GDPR-compliant solution, considering data protection requirements in the public sector
• Design and adaptation of the chatbot to the existing corporate design
• Setup of a clear and user-friendly backend system for managing and controlling the chatbot
• Development of a solution that is as low-maintenance as possible with automated processes for content updates
• Ensuring scalable usage with the largest possible number of requests
• Independent implementation of the project from technical conception through to implementation and productive use
• Coordination with the responsible contact persons and transparent presentation of one-time and ongoing costs for setup, operation, and support

• Sound technical knowledge in the development, configuration, and implementation of AI chatbots and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with integrating chatbots into existing websites and content management systems, ideally TYPO3
• Knowledge in connecting external data sources, APIs, websites, and documents
• Experience with data protection-compliant AI solutions and GDPR requirements, ideally in the public sector
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies is an advantage
• Understanding of modern chatbot architectures, knowledge bases, and automated processes for content updates
• Experience with designing and configuring user-friendly backend systems
• Ability to implement individual solutions cost-effectively, flexibly, and scalably
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach – from conception to ongoing operation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions understandably, as well as to present costs and scope of services transparently
• Willingness to collaborate and coordinate predominantly remotely
