Experienced CI/CD Engineer needed to optimize and further develop Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes. The position is based in Bremen with the possibility of 40% remote work.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced CI/CD Engineer to optimize and further develop Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes. The position is based in Bremen with the possibility of 40% remote work.
Your tasks include a comprehensive analysis of existing CI/CD pipelines and the identification of optimization potential. You will work on reducing pipeline runtimes and improving system stability. Another focus is on introducing additional automations for test execution as well as quality and security checks. You will standardize and simplify pipeline structures and support the integration of new build, test, and deployment processes.
Furthermore, you will create documentation, conduct training sessions and workshops, and coach team members to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.
We expect several years of practical experience with GitLab CI/CD as well as very good knowledge in the setup, operation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines. Sound experience with Docker and Linux-based development environments is required. Good knowledge of Shell scripting (Bash) and ideally also Python is necessary. Experience with test automation and software quality processes as well as familiarity with modern DevOps principles and best practices complete the profile.
The project is designed for 6 months with the possibility of extension. The start is planned for November. A project-related employment is assumed.
