Cisco UCS System Engineer / Administrator Remote

Project overview

For one of our major clients, we are currently looking for support that meets the following requirements:

Responsibilities

• Operation, administration, and further development of an existing Cisco UCS server infrastructure
• Administration and management of Cisco UCS systems via Cisco UCS Manager and UCS Central
• Planning, execution, and documentation of BIOS and firmware updates on Cisco UCS systems
• Execution of security patches, release updates, and regular maintenance measures
• Ensuring stable, secure, and trouble-free operation of the Cisco system landscape
• Analysis and resolution of technical faults as well as troubleshooting during ongoing operations
• Monitoring and optimization of the existing Cisco UCS infrastructure
• Support in change and release management processes

Requirements

• Sound practical experience in the operation and administration of Cisco UCS server infrastructures
• Very good knowledge of Cisco UCS Manager and Cisco UCS Central
• Demonstrable experience in performing BIOS and firmware updates on Cisco UCS systems
• Sound knowledge of security patch management as well as release and lifecycle management
• Experience in the management and administration of Cisco system landscapes
• Good knowledge in troubleshooting and fault analysis of complex server infrastructures
• Experience in operational data center and infrastructure management
• Location: Remote, initial onboarding on-site in Frankfurt am Main
• Duration: From now until 31.12.2027
• Utilization: 3 days per week
