Consultant – Palo Alto Networks & Cloud Security

Project overview

For our client in the automation technology industry, we are looking for a Consultant – Palo Alto Networks & Cloud Security on a contracting basis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide technical commentary on existing designs, configurations, rule sets, dependencies, and migration plans.
• Contribute technical solution options and best practices from comparable Palo Alto implementations.
• Assist with HLD/LLD, configuration specifications, migration concepts, runbooks, test cases, and operational documentation.
• Prepare configurations and change proposals; perform productive changes exclusively after approval and together with the responsible Festo teams.
• Provide technical support for technical workshops, reviews, tests, pilot projects, cutover preparations, and hypercare.
• Analyze error patterns, document causes and solutions, and technically prepare manufacturer or partner tickets as needed.
• Transparently track open points, technical risks, and dependencies, and report them to project managers early on.

Requirements

• Several years of experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW and PAN-OS
• Experience with routing, BGP, NAT, VPN, and High Availability (HA)
• Experience with firewall migrations and rule set optimization
• Practical experience with Prisma Access
• Experience with Palo Alto in Azure and/or AWS
• Experience in design, implementation, testing, and cutover
• Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
