Job description
The project aims to transform the Global Data Quality Monitoring (GDQM) solution from a project-based approach to a scalable enterprise service. The role involves the technical development of the GDQM platform, implementation and optimization of data quality rules, and integration of new data sources.
Project overview
Service Description
Description:
Developer (m/w/d) – Global Data Quality Monitoring (GDQM)
GDQM was developed as a project within the Data expert team and is currently used by four German Distribution System Operators (DSOs) for a limited scope, primarily for EAM and HARnes.
Transformation of Global Data Quality Monitoring (GDQM) from a project-based solution to a scalable enterprise service.
As part of this initiative, the necessary governance structures, organizational setup, operational processes, onboarding requirements, support model, and commercial framework will be defined. The goal is to connect additional German Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and business units to GDQM and integrate the solution into the Governance & Data Products Platform portfolio.
The solution is based on Databricks, SQL, Power BI, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines. Currently, there is no formal operating model, dedicated product team, commercial model, or governance framework for topics such as onboarding, support, approvals, rule management, or platform further development.
Architecture documentation, operational processes, and service management procedures are only partially available or completely missing. Corporate roles such as Data Steward and Data Quality Manager are established at E.ON but have not yet been integrated into the GDQM processes.
Project Goal:
Technical further development of the Global Data Quality Monitoring (GDQM) platform, as well as the implementation and optimization of data quality rules and measurement procedures.
New business requirements will be technically implemented, existing functionalities continuously improved, and new data sources integrated into the central Measuring Engine. The basis for this is the Measuring Engine, the central Rule Repository, and the underlying data architecture.
