Data Analyst Microsoft Fabric/Power BI

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with a focus on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for a demanding migration project. The position is designed as a full-time project with flexible work locations (predominantly remote with regular on-site appointments).

Your main tasks include the comprehensive analysis of existing database infrastructures, including SQL Server databases, data structures, and legacy BI systems. You will create detailed as-is documentation, identifying migration risks and optimization potentials.

Based on this, you will develop a technically and functionally sound target architecture for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This includes evaluating different solution variants, defining data storage and processing structures, and considering security and operational aspects.

In the implementation phase, you will realize data integration and transformation processes, including PySpark-based processing, incremental loading, and comprehensive error handling. You will design and implement dimensional and semantic data models, develop DAX-based calculation logic, and create reports and dashboards according to agreed requirements.

Finally, you will conduct technical tests, validate migrated data and key figures, and document all results comprehensibly.

At least five years of proven experience in the design and implementation of productive data and business intelligence solutions with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, as well as sound knowledge of ELT concepts and development, are required. Fluent German and English skills are necessary.
