Experienced Django/Python Developer needed for maintenance and further development of an existing web application in the railway and data management sector. The role is primarily remote with some on-site requirements.
Project overview
For a project in the railway and data management sector, we are looking for an experienced Django/Python Developer (m/f/d) for the maintenance and further development of an existing web application.
The position is 95% remote with a location in Frankfurt am Main. The project runs from January 2027 to December 2028 with a scope of 400 person-days (of which approx. 200 days are on-site).
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and further development of a Django/Python web application with PostgreSQL database
- Frontend development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- Development and integration of REST interfaces for connecting external systems
- Implementation and optimization of CI/CD processes
- Analysis and resolution of security findings
Requirements

- At least 3 years of professional experience in Python/Django development (Intermediate-Level)
- Sound knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Django Templates)
- Experience with REST APIs and system integration
- Confident handling of CI/CD processes
- Basic understanding of security aspects in web development
- Good German and English language skills
