Freelance End-of-Line Test Engineer – Power Electronics | LabVIEW / NI TestStand / Python

For a leading technology group in Bavaria, we are looking for an experienced freelance End-of-Line (EOL) Test Engineer to support an industrialization project in the field of power electronics.

The focus is on the conception, development, and implementation of an automated test bench for the hardware qualification of power electronic components.

The focus will initially be on requirements definition and the development of the hardware and software architecture. You will then support the technical implementation, integration, and commissioning of the test system.

Responsibilities

• Development and finalization of technical requirements and specifications for an automated EOL test bench
• Conception of the electrical test bench hardware and the associated software architecture
• Development and implementation of automated electrical test sequences
• Integration of measuring instruments, test equipment, and hardware interfaces
• Development of test automation solutions with LabVIEW, NI TestStand, Python, or comparable technologies
• Support with the integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation of the test system
• Close collaboration with internal hardware, software, and industrialization teams

• Several years of experience in the development of automated test benches, EOL test systems, or electrical test systems
• Sound knowledge of LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and/or Python
• Technical background in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a comparable field
• Experience in the integration of measuring instruments, DAQ systems, and electrical interfaces
• Knowledge in the conception of hardware and software architectures
• Experience in the development of automated test sequences as well as in measurement data acquisition and test evaluation
• Good English skills
• Experience with power electronics, especially inverters, converters, or rectifiers
• Knowledge of NI PXI, cDAQ, or cRIO
• Experience with programmable power supplies, electronic loads, and oscilloscopes
• Experience in industrialization and production-related hardware testing
