Project Content
For a project in the Data Warehouse and ETL environment, an experienced freelancer (m/f/d) is sought for the technical further development and migration of existing data processing processes.
The focus is on the conception and development of ETL pipelines, the further development of existing DWH solutions, and technical support for migration and replacement projects. Another focus is on quality assurance and automation of regression tests and data comparisons.
Tasks in the Project
- Design, development, and adaptation of ETL pipelines within existing Data Warehouse architectures
- Technical support for migration and replacement projects in the DWH/ETL environment
- Planning and execution of technical regression tests and data comparisons
- Conception of test and production environments as well as automated test data processes where possible
- Analysis and resolution of technical deviations and errors
- Technical transformation and harmonization of data formats and character encodings
- Development and adaptation of Java-based components in the DWH/ETL context
- Coordination with adjacent development teams and other project stakeholders
Requirements
- Several years of project experience in ETL development and in the Data Warehouse environment
- Very good knowledge in the conception and implementation of ETL processes within relational DWH architectures
- Very good SQL knowledge, for example with DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SAP HANA
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or comparable ETL tools
- Several years of practical experience in Java development
- Experience in DWH migration and replacement projects
- Experience with technical regression tests and data comparisons
- Ideally, experience in the banking or financial services sector
- Knowledge in the migration or harmonization of data formats and character encodings is advantageous
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Very good German language skills as well as an independent and structured way of working
