Field Service Engineer Mechanical and Plant Engineering

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer in the field of mechanical and plant engineering at the Linz location. In this role, you will be the technical point of contact for customers and will accompany converter systems throughout their entire lifecycle – from inspections and modernizations to comprehensive service projects.

Your tasks include carrying out customer assignments domestically and abroad to analyze, evaluate, and optimize systems. You will plan and implement on-site services such as inspections and fault analyses, prepare technical offers for spare parts and modernizations, and write meaningful inspection reports with concrete optimization measures. Furthermore, you will work closely with internal specialist departments and conduct training sessions to exchange technical knowledge within the international service network.

For this position, you should have a completed technical education (HTL, FH, or university) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field. Several years of experience in technical field service, service, or plant engineering are advantageous. You have practical knowledge in technical inspections, analyses, and commissioning, as well as sound knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Proficiency in MS Office is required; experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Siemens NX, or Autodesk Inventor is desirable.

Very good German and English skills are a prerequisite, as is a high willingness to travel internationally. The position is hybrid and offers the opportunity to work in an international environment.
