Responsibilities

Profile

• Independent financial management of several Swiss companies with responsibility for essential parts of the entire accounting process
• Independent preparation and execution of quarterly and annual financial statements as well as ensuring high quality of financial statements / Preparation of IFRS reporting and support in the transition of local accounting to IFRS basis
• Responsibility for demanding general ledger activities, including accruals, provisions, account reconciliations, and foreign currency valuations
• Ensuring the complete and correct recording of intercompany transactions and group internal settlements
• Management and reconciliation of financial transactions such as loans, interest calculations, bank movements, and intra-group financing
• Responsibility for the reconciliation of essential balance sheet and income statement accounts as well as clarification of complex differences
• Preparation and quality assurance of financial and reporting documents for internal and external stakeholders
• Preparation of relevant closing documents and central support during the annual audit and cooperation with external auditors
• Execution or coordination of VAT returns as well as support with other regulatory and statutory requirements
• Ensuring consistent data quality across various financial and reporting systems
• Close cooperation with internal stakeholders within an international matrix organization / Taking over selected operational accounting tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day business
• Professional experience in financial accounting, ideally with independent responsibility for several companies
• Further education in accounting is an advantage (e.g., Accounting Specialist or Certificate of Advanced Studies in Financial Accounting and Controlling)
• Proven experience in the independent preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
• Good knowledge of IFRS accounting and experience with corresponding reporting processes
• Very good knowledge of Abacus is mandatory
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) is an advantage
• Knowledge of IBM Cognos is an advantage
• Experience in IFRS reporting and the closing process
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working
• Very good German language skills, English skills are an advantage
