Responsibilities

• Analysis of the existing firewall environment based on Sophos products, including a fundamentals check
• Concept development and implementation of the improved firewall environment, possibly with additional products, including penetration testing
• Connection of another location to the firewall environment
• Review of two Synology servers regarding further use, renewal, etc.; concept development and implementation in case of renewal
• Analysis of the existing server backup, status quo, implementation of optimization and modernization measures, remediation of acute vulnerabilities
• Knowledge transfer within the team
• Communication with external service providers

• Degree in Computer Science, training as an IT specialist for system integration, or comparable qualification
• Proven experience from comparable projects
• Very good Microsoft infrastructure knowledge
• Profound expertise in the areas of Windows, backup systems, Synology servers, VPN, routing, switching, TCP/IP, RADIUS, BGP, LDAP, MPLS, IPSEC
• Knowledge of Sophos products and broad expertise in firewall systems
• Enjoyment of working in a growing, dynamic, and agile environment undergoing change

Series development, modular, scalable along the value chain with the goal of "0" emissions in truck traffic. As a Firewall and Backup Specialist, you will support the team in analyzing the existing firewall infrastructure and expanding it based on current customer requirements for the IT environment. You will also ensure a unified server backup procedure.
