Seeking an experienced FPGA expert for a freelance role involving FPGA development, VHDL module adaptation, and integration testing on hardware platforms. The role requires proficiency in specific development and simulation tools.
Responsibilities
Work Area 1:
Implementation
+ Develop concepts for realizing specified requirements
+ Document concepts and design decisions
+ Adapt/create VHDL modules
+ Integrate modules into existing FPGA design
Work Area 2:
VHDL Simulation
+ Develop and document test concepts and test sequences
+ Set up and adapt automated simulation tests using QuestaSim
+ Extend tests with the goal of 100% coverage
Work Area 3: Integration Test on HW Platform
+ Develop test sequences
+ Set up and adapt automated integration tests using a Python test framework on a real hardware platform (available at the client and remotely accessible)
+ If necessary, extend the test framework (including test functions on the test FPGA of the hardware platform)
