FREELANCE // Site Supervisor / Construction Manager HVAC (m/f/d)

Project overview

For a demanding construction project in the greater Berlin area, we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Construction Manager HVAC (m/f/d). In this role, you will take on the technical site supervision for highly complex HVAC systems, manage interface trades, and ensure strict adherence to all relevant hygiene and quality standards (including DIN 1946-4, VDI 6022).

• Workload: Full-time 5 days/week
• Duration: 6 months (option to extend)
• Location: Berlin
• Language: German (fluent)

Responsibilities

• Technical site supervision and construction management of HVAC systems
• Ensuring compliance with all specific standards, guidelines, and hygiene requirements, especially DIN 1946-4 and VDI 6022
• Monitoring installation, transport, and assembly regarding site hygiene and internal contamination protection (air handling units, duct systems, filter stages)
• Accompanying interface trades (MSR/Building Automation, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection, and Medical Technology)
• Monitoring and plausibility checks of leak tests, duct balancing, and pressure cascades in operating rooms and clean areas
• Preparation, accompaniment, and documentation of expert inspections (TÜV/DEKRA), initial hygiene inspections, and flow measurements
• Review of measurements, daily construction reports, schedules, and invoices from executing companies, including thorough claim management
• Conducting site inspections, issuing defect reports, and structured follow-up of defect rectification until final acceptance

• Completed degree in Building Services Engineering, Technical Building Equipment (TGA), Energy Technology, or qualification as a state-certified technician / master craftsman with many years of site experience
• Sound professional experience in site supervision / technical construction management (HOAI Lph 8) for HVAC systems
• Mandatorily demonstrable experience in hospital or cleanroom projects
• Very good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations: DIN 1946-4, VDI 6022, VDI 2052, as well as VOB/B and VOB/C
• Certifications according to VDI 6022 (Category A) or proof of qualification for fire dampers are advantageous
• Assertiveness and negotiation skills in dealing with executing companies, as well as a high degree of quality and hygiene awareness
