Freelance: OpenText VIM / SAP FI Consultant

Project overview

Hello dear freelancer,

For a project assignment with my framework agreement partner in Berlin, I am currently looking for an experienced OpenText VIM Consultant / SAP FI Developer (m/f/d).

The focus is on the further development and optimization of existing invoice management processes based on OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) in an SAP S/4HANA environment. In addition to functional consulting, technical adjustments, ABAP developments, and the analysis and resolution of process disruptions and audit findings are also expected.

• Start: asap
• Duration: until the end of January 2027
• Utilization: 40-60 %
• Location: 2 days / week in Berlin & Rest is Remote
• Project language: German / English
• Contract type: Freelance

Responsibilities

• Analysis of existing invoice management processes and VIM system landscapes
• Consulting on the conception and implementation of optimization measures
• Customizing, parameterization, and further development of OpenText VIM
• Development and customization in the SAP backend (ABAP / ABAP OO)
• Implementation and enhancement of SAP Fiori applications (SAPUI5, OData Services)
• Consulting on the integration of new functions into the existing SAP architecture
• Execution of functional and integration tests
• Analysis and resolution of errors and process disruptions in the VIM environment
• Processing of audit and compliance findings

• Several years of project experience in the OpenText VIM environment
• Sound consulting experience in SAP FI, ideally under SAP S/4HANA
• Very good knowledge of SAP Business Workflow
• Experience with ABAP OO and cross-module SAP developments
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData Services
• Knowledge of SAP architecture and integration scenarios
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing existing business processes
• Experience in invoice processing and digital incoming invoice processes
• Experience in handling audit and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of modern ABAP Clean Code principles
