Project: Energy Infrastructure / Grid Expansion / HVDC

For a long-term infrastructure project in the area of German high-voltage grid expansion, we are looking for an experienced freelance expert (m/f/d) for the technical consulting and coordination of land cable installation.

The focus is on the technical evaluation of planning and execution processes, the coordination of technical interfaces, and the analysis of project progress, risks, and logistical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Technical consulting and expert support for land cable installation in the HVDC environment
• Analysis and evaluation of planning, execution, and contract documents
• Coordination and evaluation of technical interfaces between cable installation, civil engineering, substation construction, and other project stakeholders
• Support in cable call-off planning and coordination of delivery for cables, joints, and accessories
• Analysis of construction progress, schedule deviations, and project risks
• Creation of status reports, risk analyses, and expert recommendations
• Development of decision-making bases for project and section management
• Technical evaluation of quality and execution concepts

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy Technology, or comparable qualification
• Several years of project experience in high or extra-high voltage cables, preferably HVDC underground cable projects
• Sound knowledge in land cable installation, cable assembly, or technical project coordination
• Experience in interface management between civil engineering, cable installation, and other trades
• Knowledge of schedule planning, quality assurance, and technical documentation
• Ideally, experience in large energy infrastructure projects such as SuedLink, SuedOstLink, A-Nord, or comparable projects
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good German language skills
• Long-term project in German grid expansion
• Collaboration with an established company in energy infrastructure
• Demanding technical and organizational tasks
• Partial remote work possible according to project requirements
