Job description
The role involves maintaining and expanding an existing Aginode/Nexans LANactive FTTO infrastructure, including replacing switches, installation, configuration, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Replacement of expiring switches and expansion of the existing Aginode/Nexans LANactive FTTO infrastructure
- Support with installation, assembly, cabling, and commissioning of network components
- Performing basic configurations and functional tests of hardware, firmware, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN), and redundancy functions
- Integration into existing management and monitoring systems as well as support with error analysis
- Labeling and documentation of installed components and performed work
Requirements
- Demonstrable expertise in Aginode/Nexans LANactive FTTO infrastructure and the network components used
- Sound knowledge of Fiber To The Office (FTTO), Ethernet, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN), and network management
- Experience in replacing, installing, and configuring switches as well as in network diagnostics
- Knowledge of firmware management, network monitoring, and security functions
- Willingness to work on-site and, by arrangement, also outside regular working hours
