Full-Stack Developer Kotlin / Angular | Freelance | Hannover | Start: 01.11.2026 | Duration: 3 months | Industry: Insurance

The engagement is with a company in the insurance sector for the further development of a modern application landscape. We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer who will independently contribute to the conception, development, and optimization of backend and frontend components, driving complex system integration through standardized interfaces.

For this project, a technically savvy individual with profound experience in distributed systems, a high standard of quality, and a strong hands-on mentality in agile development environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and technical concretization of business requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders
• Conception and development of backend components based on Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Development of modern frontend applications with Angular and implementation of REST-based APIs
• Design, implementation, and integration of internal and external systems and services
• Creation of automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) as well as conducting code reviews
• Active participation in agile development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and release activities

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in professional software development with very good knowledge of Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Profound experience with JPA/Hibernate, relational databases, and SQL
• Several years of experience in developing modern web applications with Angular or comparable frameworks
• Very good knowledge of REST interfaces, service-oriented architectures, and Clean Code principles
• Practical experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, as well as CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment processes
• Understanding of IT security, data protection, and the operation of business-critical applications; very good German and good English skills
