Overall Project Lead SAP RAR - Onsite Hamburg - Hybrid Basis

Project overview

For a comprehensive SAP transformation project, an experienced overall project lead is sought for the implementation of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (SAP RAR).

The goal of the project is to replace existing revenue accounting systems with SAP RAR and to automate revenue recognition according to IFRS 15. The revenue accounting will be switched from a portfolio approach to an individual contract approach.

The area of responsibility includes leading the technical implementation, SAP customizing, and system integration. A particular focus is on coordinating internal and external project participants, especially the implementation partner, as well as clarifying functional requirements and their successful technical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for IT sub-projects across all project phases – from initiation and planning to implementation and completion
• Management and coordination of further sub-projects in the areas of accounting and controlling
• Ensuring project goals regarding time, quality, and budget
• Management of internal and external project participants as well as the implementation partner
• Planning, monitoring, and reporting of project progress, milestones, and dependencies
• Stakeholder management and coordination with specialist departments and management
• Identification, assessment, and management of project risks
• Ensuring compliance with agreed project management standards and methods
• Support of technical implementation, SAP customizing, and system integration

Requirements

Several years of experience in leading complex IT projects

Sound knowledge of common project management methods

Strong communication, coordination, and management skills

Willingness to work approximately 60% of the time on-site in Hamburg
