Workshop Manager in Woodworking and Carpentry

(m/f/d)

starting from 01.12.2026 for one of the workshops. The full-time position is initially limited to one year. If personal qualifications are met, the position is rated according to EG 9a TVoD.

The Workshop:

This workshop is all about craftsmanship and versatile woodworking. We are the point of contact for schools, daycare centers, fire departments, and other municipal offices when it comes to tailor-made solutions. Our team covers the entire spectrum from individual carpentry to creative furniture construction. The areas of responsibility include customer consultation, development, execution & furniture construction, repair & maintenance.

• Lead and be responsible for the entire team of your workshop
• from production and work preparation to assembly. This includes permanent employees, apprentices, and participants. You will report directly to the department manager.
• You will be responsible for acquiring orders and providing technical advice to our customers.
• You will plan with CAD for potential customer presentations and as a direct precursor to production, create calculations and offers based on economic aspects.
• After accepting an order, you will plan and manage the entire production and assembly process up to delivery. This includes capacity and personnel planning, monitoring production processes, and ensuring delivery dates and the quality of work results.
• You will create measurements and cost-effective invoices in close coordination with other specialist departments.
• You will monitor inventory, tools, and machinery and ensure that they comply with occupational safety regulations.
• You will support your employees: Conduct annual employee reviews, identify and organize possible/necessary training.
• You will be responsible for training in the carpentry profession in accordance with the training framework plan.
• You will support the recruiting process and help attract new skilled workers for your workshop.
• You will not only accompany and support permanent employees but also take on a responsible role in the supervision and guidance of participants
• for example, in vocational training, qualification, or integration programs.
• Master craftsman's certificate in carpentry
• Driver's license class B
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
