Project details

Freiburg

Group Lead MSR/Building Automation

The Fraunhofer Society is one of the world's leading organizations for application-oriented research. 74 institutes develop pioneering technologies for our economy and society

At the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics IAF, we work where others go on vacation, and at the forefront of technological progress. In Freiburg, at the foot of the Black Forest, we develop microelectronics, optoelectronics, and quantum technologies that shape the state of the art. Our modules orbit the Earth in satellites, our antennas transmit data for the next mobile communication generation 6G, and our sensors measure even the smallest magnetic fields, such as those of brain currents.

Innovations that shape the future are created here along the entire semiconductor value chain and with synthetic diamond.

Help shape where innovation happens: Lead the heart of our infrastructure as Group Lead MSR/Building Automation!

Within Technical Services, you will take over the leadership of the MSR group. Together with your team, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of measurement, control, and regulation technology and shape its continuous further development. You will accompany investment and infrastructure projects in laboratory, cleanroom, and office buildings, making an important contribution to the research and working environment of our institute.
