H3C Expert for Infrastructure Migration

For a demanding infrastructure transformation project for our client in Basel, we are looking for an experienced H3C Expert. As part of the project, an existing server, storage, and virtualization landscape will be replaced by modern H3C solutions. You will play a central role in the planning, architecture, and implementation of the new infrastructure and will accompany the migration of existing systems into the new target environment.

Responsibilities

• Conception and design of the future H3C infrastructure
• Planning and execution of migration projects in the areas of compute, storage, and virtualization
• Implementation and configuration of H3C UniServer, UniStor, and CAS environments
• Migration of virtual machines and data from existing platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V)
• Setup and optimization of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Integration of backup, monitoring, Active Directory, network, and SAN solutions
• Support with sizing, performance optimization, and capacity planning
• Technical consulting for project management and stakeholders
• Documentation of architecture and operating processes

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an Infrastructure Architect, Systems Engineer, or Datacenter Consultant
• Demonstrable practical experience with at least one of the following H3C products: H3C UniServer, H3C UniStor, H3C CAS, H3C UIS, H3C CloudOS
• Experience in infrastructure migration projects and the transformation of existing IT landscapes
• Sound knowledge of server, storage, and virtualization environments
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or comparable platforms
• Good knowledge of storage protocols such as FC, iSCSI, and NFS
• Experience with clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts
• Knowledge in the integration of network, SAN, backup, and monitoring solutions
• H3C certifications are an advantage
• Very good German skills and good English skills
