Commissioning of Refrigeration and Vacuum Systems

Responsibilities

• Independent commissioning of complex process engineering plants at the factory and with international end customers
• Commissioning and optimization of freeze-drying and lyophilization systems
• Inspection and release of refrigeration, vacuum, and media-carrying systems
• Analysis of problems within the vacuum system and the refrigeration process
• Execution and supervision of leak and tightness tests
• Technical troubleshooting when vacuum, pressure, or temperature values are not met
• Analysis of the interaction of vacuum, condenser, refrigeration process, and temperature control
• Testing of pumps, valves, sensors, and actuators
• Testing of signal paths and safety-relevant functions
• Support in troubleshooting PLC/MSR-controlled systems
• Execution and documentation of function tests
• Supervision and execution of FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ
• Analysis of technical deviations and implementation of suitable corrective measures
• Creation of commissioning, acceptance, and test protocols
• Technical coordination with engineering, automation, mechanics, and process engineering
• Briefing and support of users at the customer's site

Important

Not looking for a pure PLC programmer or a classic project manager without operational technical experience.

Crucial is the ability to independently analyze technical problems with vacuum, refrigeration, process, and peripherals during the commissioning of a complex plant and to bring them to a solution together with the involved departments.

• Technician, master craftsman, or degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, refrigeration technology, mechatronics, automation technology, or comparable
• Several years of experience in the commissioning of complex plants or special machines
• Very good knowledge in at least two of the following areas:
• Freeze-drying / Lyophilization
• Vacuum technology / High vacuum
• Refrigeration technology
• Ultra-low temperature applications
• Vacuum drying
• Ideally, direct experience with pharmaceutical freeze-drying systems
• Experience in systematic technical troubleshooting

For an international technology project in the pharmaceutical or regulated plant environment, we are looking for an experienced freelance commissioning engineer / commissioning specialist for freeze-drying systems, refrigeration, and vacuum technology on short notice.

The focus is on the technical commissioning of complex freeze-drying/lyophilization systems as well as the systematic analysis and resolution of deviations in the interaction of refrigeration, vacuum, process, sensors, actuators, and plant control.

An expert is explicitly sought who can personally get involved in the plant to identify the cause systematically when problems arise.
