Project overview

For a long-term project environment in the field of critical railway infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced commissioning engineer for control systems or a technician for control and computer technology (m/f/d).

The focus is on the installation, commissioning, and support of computer and control systems in signal box environments.

Practical candidates with a technical training background who enjoy working on-site with the customer and have experience in commissioning technical systems are sought. Academic degrees are explicitly not the focus.

Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of computer and control systems in signal box environments

Assembly, configuration, and commissioning of technical systems on-site

Execution of system and function tests

Analysis and troubleshooting of technical faults

Support during the commissioning of new signal boxes and technical systems

Documentation of installations, test results, and technical changes

Ensuring the operational readiness of control and computer systems

Collaboration with project teams and technical departments

Requirements

Completed vocational training as an IT specialist, IT system electronics technician, electronics technician, technician, or comparable technical qualification

Ideally, qualification as a qualified electrician (EFK)

Professional experience of approx. 3 to 10 years in technical commissioning or installation activities

Experience in the installation and commissioning of computer or technical systems

Knowledge in the field of control technology is an advantage

Experience in the railway sector, signaling technology, or comparable infrastructure projects is an advantage

Practical and independent way of working

High willingness to travel for nationwide project assignments

Very good to fluent German language skills, both written and spoken
