For an internationally established company, we are seeking an experienced Interim Group Accountant / Technical Accountant to support the group accounting department on short notice. We are looking for a hands-on personality with strong accounting expertise to support the team with ongoing closing, consolidation, and technical accounting topics.

• Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB (German GAAP) at the individual and group level
• Participation in the consolidation of national and international group companies
• Handling complex accounting and valuation issues (Technical Accounting)
• Execution and documentation of merger and restructuring bookings
• Support in reconciling intercompany transactions and accounts
• Preparation and analysis of cash flow statements and other financial analyses
• Analysis of financial data and preparation of meaningful reports for management
• Contribution to the further development and optimization of accounting, reporting, and consolidation processes
• Support with special projects in group accounting
• Close collaboration with the finance teams of the group companies as well as external consultants and auditors
• Active participation in automation and digitalization initiatives in the finance department, especially using modern AI tools
• Working with the consolidation and reporting tool Lucanet
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, financial accounting, or group accounting
• Sound knowledge of accounting according to HGB
• Experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Very good understanding of complex accounting and technical accounting issues
• Experience with consolidation processes is an advantage
• Confident use of Lucanet or comparable consolidation tools is desirable
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
