An established service company is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Accounting for approximately 4-6 months to cover a vacancy. The role involves leading the accounting team and overseeing financial reporting.
Responsibilities
What the client is looking for:
- Responsibility for operational financial accounting and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Professional leadership of a small accounting team
- Contact person for auditors, tax advisors, and banks
- Ensuring smooth processes in accounting and supporting ongoing audits
- Optimization and further development of finance and accounting processes
- Close cooperation with adjacent departments and IT
- Experience in the travel/tourism industry (highly advantageous)
- Experience with Blank, Docuware, SAGE (highly advantageous)
- Several years of experience in leading an accounting department or financial accounting
- Very good knowledge of HGB, monthly and annual financial statements
- Leadership experience and a strong hands-on mentality
- Industry knowledge from a high-transaction service environment is advantageous
- Strong communication, pragmatic, and solution-oriented personality
