Context: Digital healthcare requires more than just functioning IT. It needs a leader who can master complex application landscapes, manage people, and integrate digitalization into daily operations.

Our client is an established organization in the Swiss healthcare sector that is consistently developing its digital infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Interim Manager for Digital Health Applications to take responsibility for a central unit with medical and business applications.

The focus is on leading an interdisciplinary team, further developing the application architecture, and successfully implementing demanding digitalization initiatives – while ensuring secure and economical IT operations.

STRATEGY & IMPLEMENTATION

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

• Professional, personnel, and financial leadership of an interdisciplinary team of application specialists
• Ensuring stable, secure, and economical application operations
• Responsibility for budget, supplier management, and resource planning
• Development and implementation of a future-proof digital health and application strategy
• Management of complex digitalization projects related to core clinical systems, data platforms, Identity & Access Management, and digital patient data exchange
• Consolidation and further development of the application architecture, including interfaces and data models
• Ensuring structured handover of new solutions to regular operations
• Management of 2nd/3rd level support, as well as problem, change, and release management
• Translation of business requirements into practical IT solutions
• Coordination of internal departments, external service providers, and technical specialists

• Sound, demonstrable experience with hospital applications and clinical IT system landscapes
• Several years of management experience with professional, personnel, and financial responsibility
• Experience in managing complex IT and digitalization projects
• Sound understanding of application management, IT architecture, interfaces, and data management
• Experience in the stable operation of business-critical applications
• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Medical Informatics, or comparable qualification
• Fluent German and good English skills
• Knowledge of interoperability standards HL7, FHIR, and IHE
• Experience with clinical and diagnostic systems
• Experience in consolidating complex application landscapes
• Location: Zurich region, Switzerland
• Start: Immediately / as soon as possible
• Duration: approx. 6 months
• Workload: 80–100%
