Job description

Experienced IT Architect needed for a hybrid project in Potsdam to analyze, evaluate, and optimize existing infrastructure and security documentation, starting November 2026.

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced IT architect to analyze, evaluate, and optimize existing infrastructure and security documentation. The project is hybrid in Potsdam and starts in November 2026.

Your tasks include conducting as-is, to-be, and gap analyses, as well as moderating workshops and reviews. You will create risk and action catalogs, develop recommendations for action, and present the results. A focus will be on developing a target state for security- and emergency-oriented infrastructure documentation, as well as creating an initial documentation base according to the OBASHI model.

You bring several years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on network, security, and infrastructure architectures. Your expertise includes BSI-Grundschutz, ISO 27001, and ideally CIS benchmarks as well as OBASHI or comparable architectural models. You are familiar with CMDB, ITSM, and asset documentation, ideally with i-doit, and can create technical documentation for complex IT landscapes.

Practical knowledge in network architectures (Layer 2/3), WAN, VPN, internet, and third-party connections is required. You have routine in handling firewall configurations, data center networks (ideally Cisco Nexus/ACI), as well as Windows, Active Directory, and mail infrastructures. Experience with Linux, virtualization, databases, and storage environments completes your profile.

Furthermore, you have knowledge in logging, monitoring, DNS, DHCP, proxy and flow data, as well as IT emergency management and NIS-2/BSIG. Experience in complex infrastructure and migration environments, preferably in the public sector or environments close to critical infrastructure, is an advantage.
