Project overview

For our client in public administration, we are currently looking for an experienced IT Architecture Documentation Specialist – arc42.

Important Note: For project deployment, the willingness to undergo a SÜ2 security check according to § 9 SÜG is mandatory. Furthermore, service provision is only permitted from within Germany.

The project involves analyzing, updating, and specifically expanding the existing IT architecture documentation of a complex system landscape. The focus is on structured documentation according to arc42, understandable representation of technical contexts, and systematic identification and closure of existing documentation gaps.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of existing IT and architecture documentation and identification of documentation gaps
• Updating, structuring, and deepening of the architecture documentation according to arc42
• Documentation of system architectures, components, interfaces, and data flows
• Preparation and comprehensible documentation of existing architecture decisions
• Independent development of missing information in coordination with business and technical contacts

Requirements

• Demonstrable practical experience with architecture documentation according to arc42
• Extensive experience in documenting complex IT projects and system landscapes
• Sound technical understanding for analyzing and understandably describing architectures, components, interfaces, and data flows
• Experience in the systematic analysis, revision, and deepening of existing IT and architecture documentation, as well as in closing documentation gaps
• Very good written German language skills and a structured, self-responsible way of working

Nice to have

• Experience with functional, operational, and test documentation
• Knowledge in the Oracle environment, especially ODI and OAS, as well as WebLogic and JBoss
• Experience with Confluence and Jira
• Project experience in the public sector
• Knowledge of risk analysis and rule management systems, as well as an existing SÜ2
