IT Operations Engineer Security & AWS Cloud

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Engineer with a focus on IT Security and AWS Cloud for a hybrid position in Frankfurt.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, defining, and implementing security requirements for applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. You will be involved in the conception, operation, and further development of AWS cloud architectures and will advise development and operations teams on secure software development processes and modern authentication methods such as OAuth2.

Your tasks include planning and optimizing monitoring and logging solutions, conducting vulnerability analyses and CVE assessments, and analyzing penetration test reports. You will perform control assessments and compliance audits, support DDoS and bot protection measures, and handle service requests, incidents, and problems in 2nd and 3rd level support. Furthermore, you will evaluate new software solutions and conduct proof of concepts.

You have at least 3 years of professional experience in IT security and information technology. Several years of experience with AWS cloud architectures and operating applications in the cloud are required. Sound knowledge in network, communication, endpoint, and server security, as well as experience in vulnerability management and compliance management, are necessary. You have good Linux/Unix skills, are familiar with container-based technologies such as Docker, and work confidently with Jira and Confluence. A completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification is desirable.

Very good German language skills are required.
