IT Security & Cloud Operations Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an IT Security & Cloud Operations Engineer for an exciting project in Frankfurt am Main. The position is designed with a 40% remote component and offers a project duration of 24 months, starting in December 2026.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring and continuously developing IT security in cloud and application operations. Your tasks include assessing security risks and vulnerabilities, as well as analyzing penetration test results. You will manage and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions and administer AWS cloud infrastructures with a focus on security aspects. Furthermore, you will support incident, problem, and change management, conduct security and compliance audits, and provide 2nd and 3rd level support.

We expect several years of experience in IT operations and IT security. Profound knowledge of AWS, Linux/Unix, Docker, and databases is required, as well as experience in Information Security Management and vulnerability management. You should be familiar with network, server, and application security and understand OAuth2 concepts. Practical experience with monitoring, logging, and DDoS/Bot protection solutions is necessary. Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and IT Service Management will complete your profile.

We require very good German language skills, an analytical and structured way of working, and strong communication skills. Employment is project-related.
