Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with leadership responsibility for a demanding software project in Switzerland. As Lead Developer, you will shape the implementation of requirements together with the team and ensure the high quality of the software through clean code, sustainable architectural principles, and targeted test coverage.

Your tasks include the design and optimization of system solutions for end-to-end test automation in complex software architectures. You will lead the development of critical software components and systems to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency. Furthermore, you will take on a mentoring role for colleagues, share technical know-how, and actively shape the further development of the team.

In-depth knowledge of software architecture and test automation for web UIs, mobile apps, and APIs is advantageous. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines, as well as in the development and troubleshooting of large, decentralized systems, is assumed. You will contribute suggestions for technological advancement and actively decide on architectural and technological issues.

Requirements include very good German language skills and good English language skills. The position is limited to a 90% workload and requires 2 days on-site in the Bern region. Remote work is only possible from Switzerland.
