Design Engineer Aviation Structures CATIA V5

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced design engineer for the development and optimization of aircraft structures. In this role, you will be involved in the conception, design, and validation of composite and hybrid components for aircraft structures.

Your tasks include the creation and adaptation of 2D and 3D designs with CATIA V5, the optimization of components regarding weight, cost, and manufacturability, as well as supporting concept, design, and release processes. You will perform technical analyses to evaluate new design solutions and work closely with departments such as Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Structural Analysis, and Fatigue. Furthermore, you will support supplier acceptances, technical reviews, and configuration management.

For this position, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline. You have initial professional experience in design or engineering and very good knowledge of CATIA V5. Experience in configuration management and change management is advantageous. Ideally, you have already worked in the aviation industry or in regulated technical sectors. Knowledge of composite materials and structural development is a plus. Basic knowledge of ICC completes your profile. Fluent German and English skills are required.
