Lead Security Consultant Development Environment

Concept and implementation of a standardized, secure developer platform (Developer Experience / Platform Engineering) for on-premises environments and isolated network zones. Focus on reproducible development environments, self-service provisioning, secure test data, and optimized developer workflows.

• Analysis and optimization of existing developer environments and workflows
• Concept and implementation of standardized, reproducible development environments
• Automated provisioning of development and test environments via self-service
• Integration of source code management, developer portal, and provisioning processes
• Implementation of the separation of development, test, and production environments
• Concept for secure test data supply, including anonymization and synthetic test data
• Securing developer workstations and source code access in isolated network zones
• Ensuring the update of development environments and dependencies without direct internet access
• Introduction and optimization of developer workflows based on measurable key figures
• Technical implementation and introduction in one to two pilot teams
• Creation of a roadmap for the rollout to further teams and network zones
• Several years of practical experience in Platform Engineering, Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), or Developer Experience (DevEx)
• Experience in the concept and implementation of internal developer platforms with own technical implementation
• Analysis and modernization of grown development environments, including existing workarounds and technical legacy
• Setup of standardized and reproducible development environments, e.g., with Dev Containers, Coder, Eclipse Che, or Nix
• Automated provisioning of development and test environments on demand via self-service
• Experience with on-premises infrastructures and development environments in isolated network zones
• Confident handling of Git-based source code management, e.g., GitLab, Forgejo/Gitea, or Bitbucket Data Center
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning, e.g., Terraform, Crossplane, or Argo CD
• Implementation of clean separation of development, test, and production environments
• Experience with test data management, especially data anonymization and synthetic test data generation
• Securing developer access and source code while ensuring efficient workflows
• Experience with developer experience key figures, especially Time to First Commit, Feedback Cycle Time, and Lead Time for Changes
• Direct collaboration with development teams, including requirements gathering, introduction, and acceptance management
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
• Setup of internal developer portals with Backstage or comparable solutions
• Experience with GitOps and automated provisioning via Argo CD
• Kubernetes-based development platforms and containerized development environments
• Automated test data preparation with PostgreSQL Anonymizer, Datanymizer, or Faker
• Monitoring and visualization of development and process key figures with Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience with internal developer platforms in public cloud environments and their transfer to on-premises infrastructures
• Experience with regulated environments, data retention requirements, and functional separation
• Creation of introductory and training materials, as well as building a developer community
• Knowledge of workplace ergonomics and accessibility
• Standardized and reproducible development environments
• Functional self-service for development and test environments
• Secure test data supply and clear environment separation
• Demonstrable improvement in provisioning and feedback times
• Successful introduction in pilot teams and documented rollout roadmap
