Lead Security Consultant

Project overview

Dear Network,

For a client in a security-critical environment, I am currently looking for an experienced Platform Engineer / Developer Experience Consultant (m/f/d) to design and implement modern development environments for software teams.

The goal is to optimize the entire developer journey from requirement to runnable software change within a highly regulated and partially isolated development platform.

Framework:

• Start: Immediately
• Duration: 12+ months
• Utilization: Full-time
• Location: Remote, on-site by arrangement

Responsibilities

• Analysis of existing development processes, including existing workarounds and makeshift solutions
• Evaluation of the existing development environment and definition of a target architecture
• Design of development and test environments, including self-service approaches
• Setup of standardized and reproducible developer environments, even in network segments with limited connectivity
• Piloting the solution with development teams and accompanying the rollout
• Collection and evaluation of relevant flow metrics (e.g., lead times, feedback cycles)
• Definition of a scaling strategy for further teams
• Ensuring a clean separation of development, testing, and production
• Design of test data strategies, including anonymization and substitute data

• 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or internal developer platforms
• Experience in setting up and operating standardized development environments
• Demonstrable project experience with self-service model development and test environments
• Experience with developer platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
• Knowledge of Git-based development platforms
• Experience with flow metrics and data-driven optimization of development processes
• Experience in stakeholder management and introducing new ways of working to development teams
• Knowledge of handling secured or isolated development environments
