M365 Business Central Consultant - Sales and Assembly

Project overview

This role involves the implementation of Business Central in workshops for people with disabilities. The go-live is planned for 01.01.2027. The first assignments begin no later than 09.11.2026 and run until 31.03.2027, with the possibility of extension. The assignment location is primarily in workshops in Saxony, supplemented by remote work.

Responsibilities

The consultant will work closely with the project management team and the implementation partner to ensure that the workshops can process assembly orders efficiently and safely in Business Central.

• Record the process of assembly orders and describe them for Business Central.
• Create test cases from real orders and support key users during testing.
• Clarify requirements for inventory management and document open points.
• Professionally review master data, including items and resources.
• Review transitions to financial accounting together with the finance team.
• Conduct practical training for key users.
• Support the go-live and provide assistance during the initial weeks.
• Make simple settings as needed.

Requirements

Desirable Knowledge:

• At least 5 years of experience in consulting on Business Central or Dynamics NAV with a focus on sales and logistics.
• At least 3 implementation projects with go-live, at least one of which involved assembly management in Business Central.
• Experience in assembly management, including assembly bills of materials and orders.
• Knowledge in sales in Business Central, including quotes, deliveries, and invoicing.
• Connection to financial accounting, posting groups, and sales tax in sales.
• Experience in practical training.
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of workshops for people with disabilities and their processes.
• Experience with customer-supplied materials and their representation in Business Central.
• Experience in purchasing components for assembly orders.
• Knowledge in processing e-invoices from Business Central.
• Experience with Power BI evaluations.

Project details

The assignment will take place primarily on-site in workshops in Saxony with the possibility of remote work. An extension of the assignment period is possible after the original end date.
