M365 Exchange/Messaging Architect

Project overview

For our client in Berlin, we are looking for an M365 Exchange/Messaging Architect starting immediately for an expected duration until 02/2028 with the option of extension.

Responsibilities

➢ Consulting with a focus on the further development of a technically complex M365 messaging infrastructure based on a hybrid MS Exchange mail environment,

➢ Consulting regarding the secure operation of the M365 tenant in a security-regulated environment (according to BSI),

➢ Consulting on the integration of the M365 environment into further collaboration environments,

➢ Support and consulting for the connection of further on-premise or cloud components to the messaging infrastructure, such as backup, calendar functions, virus scanners, encryption gateways, or further M365 components,

➢ Consulting on the definition, development, and establishment of operational processes, particularly focusing on the framework conditions of a high-security company,

➢ Coordination with internal project employees on the feasibility of requirements from various specialist areas,

➢ Consulting on the planning of technical migrations,

➢ Consulting on the technical implementation of corresponding architectures in coordination with the system and software architect as well as other stakeholders,

➢ Identification and presentation of optimization and consolidation opportunities.

Requirements

(1) Minimum Requirements (Non-fulfillment leads to exclusion of the offer):

1.1. Extensive (min. 5 years, proof via all references or short CV) experience in operating M365 messaging environments,

1.2. Extensive (min. 5 years, proof via all references or short CV) experience in operating Exchange On-Premise infrastructures,

1.3. Extensive (min. 3 years, proof via all references or short CV) experience in operating Microsoft Active Directory Services,

1.4. Experience with connecting cloud solutions to on-premises infrastructures,

1.5. Employment in a security-critical company (e.g., public contractor, financial service provider, or similar),

1.6. Very good German language skills (German C2 or native speaker)

1.7. Very good English language skills (English B2).

(2) Qualification Requirements to be evaluated (points according to evaluation matrix):

2.1. Certification as Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator,

2.2. Certification as Microsoft Teams Administrator,

2.3. Certification as Microsoft Exchange Administrator,

2.4. Certification in Microsoft 365 Messaging,

2.5. Experience with M365 licensing models and their optimized use,

2.6. Experience with Active Directory Federation Services,

2.7. Experience with Microsoft Azure Services,

2.8. Experience in operating Windows Server

2.9. Experience in migrating operating environments

2.10. Experience in consulting and training stakeholders and specialist teams,

2.11. Experience in project management.
