Network Specialist IT

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Specialist (m/f/d) for our location in Hamburg. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of complex network environments and will contribute significantly to the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.

Your tasks include the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, and routing and switching technologies. You will analyze and resolve network disruptions using modern monitoring tools and carry out network inventories. Furthermore, you will implement security policies according to common standards and plan network expansions and migrations. You will support the integration of new systems into existing infrastructures and create technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.

For this position, you have a completed degree or training in computer science. You have several years of experience in the operation and administration of complex network and IT infrastructures. Sound knowledge of routing, switching, network segmentation, and firewall and VPN technologies is required. Experience with modern data center, cloud, or hybrid cloud environments is an advantage.

We expect an analytical and structured way of working, strong problem-solving skills, and knowledge in the automation of IT and network processes. Strong communication skills, initiative, and teamwork complete your profile. Fluent German language skills at C1 level are required.
