Optical 3D Metrology & Quality Inspection

Responsibilities

Expected Outcome:

• Preparation and precise positioning of test components in the designated fixtures of optical measuring systems
• Operation of optical 3D measuring systems by selecting and starting released measurement programs according to inspection instructions
• Monitoring of automated measurement processes, including checking correct component positioning and measurement execution
• Performing visual inspections and plausibility checks based on predefined measurement features and tolerance limits
• Recording and traceable evaluation of measurement results to support ongoing quality monitoring
• Documentation and revision-proof archiving of complete test results in the designated documentation systems
• Labeling and handover of identified dimensional deviations as well as conspicuous or implausible measurement results
• Adherence to valid inspection plans, work instructions, and quality-related specifications for all measurement processes
• Ensuring the proper condition and cleanliness of measuring instruments, fixtures, and the measurement workstation
• Traceably inspected components with documented assignment to inspection features and measurement orders
• Complete, archived measurement protocols and timely reported quality deviations
• Reproducible measurement processes in compliance with specified inspection and work instructions

Requirements

• Core competence in operational manufacturing metrology, component inspection, or industrial quality assurance
• Practical experience in operating automated measuring systems and in the precise positioning of technical components
• Expertise in 3D surface measurement using structured light projection or laser scanning
• Experience with optical 3D measuring systems from ZEISS (ATOS), Creaform (HandySCAN 3D / MetraSCAN 3D), Hexagon (Absolute Scanner / ATLASCAN) or SHINING 3D (FreeScan)
• Solid understanding of technical drawings, inspection features, dimensions, and specified tolerances
• Competence in plausibilizing measurement values and identifying conspicuous test results
• Routine in the complete recording, assignment, and archiving of test and measurement data
• Application of documented inspection plans, quality specifications, and standardized work instructions
• PC user skills and confident handling of electronic inspection and documentation systems
• Willingness to work shifts if required by the project
• Fluent German (written and spoken) and good English skills
