Oracle 11 Expert for System Operation and SAP Migration Preparation

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle 11 expert to support an industrial metrology company based in the UK with the operation and development of its existing system landscape.

The focus of the project is the stable operation of the Oracle 11 system and the preparation for a future migration to SAP. For this, we are looking for someone who combines in-depth technical expertise with a good understanding of operational processes and takes responsibility independently.

The assignment starts in November 2026 and is initially planned for at least three months in full-time. Subsequently, the collaboration is to be continued with a reduced scope. The activity is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to Sheffield (UK) planned.

Responsibilities

Ensuring stable day-to-day business and smooth operation of the existing Oracle 11 system

Carrying out technical and functional adjustments and optimizations

Reviewing functions, updates, and system-relevant changes

Supporting the technical and functional preparation of a future SAP migration

Coordinating with internal stakeholders on requirements, changes, and migration-relevant topics

Requirements

Many years of in-depth experience with Oracle 11, especially in setup, administration, and further development

Comprehensive practical experience with adjustments, changes, and optimizations of existing Oracle system landscapes

Ideally, experience with migrating Oracle systems to SAP or the corresponding preparation

Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working

Ability to coordinate technical requirements with various stakeholders
