Senior Specialist Payroll

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to support the payroll team of an established company. You will either support ongoing payroll processing or a project to implement new payroll software.

In operational payroll:

As part of a payroll IT project:

• Ensuring timely and correct monthly payroll processing and payroll-relevant payments
• Handling telephone and written inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, social security, and company pension schemes
• Creating certificates
• Liaising with health insurance companies, authorities, agencies, and auditors
• Ensuring compliance with labor law, tax, and social security regulations, as well as internal policies
• Maintaining and checking payroll-relevant data in the new payroll system
• Comparing payroll results between the existing and new systems
• Documenting and evaluating test results
• Analyzing and clarifying discrepancies
• Participating in project meetings and coordinating with involved teams

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience with payroll software, ideally in operational payroll processing or system conversions
• Experience with at least one common payroll system
• Completed commercial, tax-related, or comparable training, relevant degree, or equivalent qualification
• Very good German language skills at C2 level; English skills are an advantage
