PostgreSQL DBA Admin - from January - 12 months+ - Remote, Berlin

Project overview

We are looking for a regular PostgreSQL DBA Admin:

The goal of the external support is the design and deployment of PostgreSQL databases in the data center.

At the beginning of the contract period, the focus will be on the design of fault-tolerant, geo-redundant systems in accordance with the requirements of the applications, BSI and KRITIS.

During the further course of the contract period, the focus will shift to the preparation and support of operations in the data center as well as knowledge transfer. Special emphasis will be placed on automated installation,

backup, recovery, and monitoring of the databases, taking into account the overall architecture of the data center.

In case of performance and other operational problems, the external employee will support the database operations with their technical expertise in solving problematic situations in third-level support.

Requirements

Installation / Administration of PostgreSQL databases

Setup of replication and high availability solutions using Patroni

Backup / Recovery of PostgreSQL databases

Automation with Ansible

Operation of PostgreSQL

Integration into existing infrastructure and security structures (HashiCorp Vault)

Monitoring using CheckMK

Performance tuning of PostgreSQL databases

Knowledge of Linux administration

A willingness to participate in on-call duty outside of regular operating hours is generally assumed

20% of the daily rate
