Project overview

For our customer, we are looking for a Product Manager in special machine engineering.

Background

Support of product management in the field of tunnel boring machines and various tunneling methods (e.g., pipe jacking, HDD, shaft construction).

Responsibilities

Deployment in two areas possible:

New Development

Existing Development (Support of existing tunnel construction or machine facilities after commissioning.)

• Review of technical customer requirements from the sales phase
• Execution of feasibility analyses
• Development of technical solution approaches
• Coordination between Sales, Design, and Engineering
• Definition of technical requirements for the specialist departments
• Support of product adaptations and further developments
• Coordination of different trades (mechanics, electrics, hydraulics)
• Recording customer feedback and operational problems
• Analysis of optimization and improvement potentials
• Control of technical change measures
• Coordination with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics teams
• Coordination of the implementation of product improvements
• Tracking and support of measures until implementation
• Technical project management

Requirements

• Experience in technical product management
• Background in mechanical and plant engineering or special machine engineering
• Knowledge in technical conception
• Understanding of mechanical constructions
• Basic understanding of electrics and hydraulics
• Experience in interface work between technology and sales
• Technical understanding of complex machines
