Project Controller / Construction Manager (m/f/d) – Building Construction / Renovation

Project overview

For an extensive residential construction project north of Berlin, we are looking for a Project Controller / Construction Manager (m/f/d) with experience in building construction, especially in renovation and fit-out. The project includes the renovation of multi-story historic buildings, some with listed facades. Currently, three construction phases, each with a volume of around €14 million, are planned. Two further construction phases are in the planning stage.

A general contractor has already been commissioned for the implementation. We are looking for technically proficient support for the general contractor controlling and construction management on the client's side. Close collaboration with an experienced project management team is expected.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing cost controlling as well as monitoring and documenting cost development
• Quality control of construction services based on VOB/C
• Review and follow-up of invoices and change orders
• Reconciliation of actual construction progress with cost development
• Technical support and control of construction execution on-site
• Coordination with the general contractor and the client
• Participation in project and construction meetings
• Support for the project management team in monitoring construction execution

• Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or comparable technical construction qualification
• Initial to several years of professional experience in construction management, project management, or technical project controlling
• Experience in building construction, ideally in the renovation and fit-out of existing buildings
• Good knowledge of VOB, especially VOB/C
• Experience with invoice review, change orders, and cost tracking
• Good technical understanding and the ability to assess construction progress and executed services
• Independent, structured way of working and confident demeanor towards project participants
• Willingness to work on-site approximately three days per week
• Long-term residential construction project with a construction volume of around €42 million in the first three construction phases
• Combination of cost controlling and operational construction management
• Support from an experienced project management team
• Responsible tasks with opportunities for professional development
• Project duration of initially 18 months with the prospect of extension
